MPA was initially formed by a group of medical physicists at Presbyterian Denver Hospital to provide non-regulated inspections throughout the front range of Colorado. Ownership was transferred to David Herron in 1985. Shortly afterwards, the MPA team helped the state formulate the X-ray Compliance Division. Needless to say, MPA has been a vital part of the state X-ray safety program since its inception!
