Frequently Asked Questions

  • Generally the Front Range corridor, including metro Denver, Ft. Collins and Colorado Springs. We also make it up to the mountain communities of Summit, Eagle and Grand county a fair amount.

  • We inspect all Dental (including 3D/CBCT), Medical (including fluoroscopy), Veterinary and Industrial (non-healing arts) machines.

  • Dental 3D/CBCT - annual (every year)

    Dental Handheld (Nomad etc.) - annual

    All other Dental - 3 years

    Medical (Human use) - annual

    Veterinary - 3 years

    Industrial - 2 years

  • YES, all personnel that takes X-rays in Colorado is required to have their own personal radiation badge, unless you've been granted an exemption from the state. As of December 2023, the state updated their exemption policy so that you can automatically qualify for the exemption if you've obtained 6 months of badge readings that are below the yearly threshold.   • Yes. The State charges an annual fee of $50 per facility that you pay directly to them. This is separate from any inspection fees. They send this bill out in April of every year. If you are a new facility you need to register with the state using an “R-4 Form” found here.
